SUCCESS STORY

Creating a Visual and Verbal Identity

A BOTTOM-UP BRAND CONSTRUCTION THAT NEEDED TO BE DISTINCT, ON-VOICE, AND REFLECTIVE OF THE BUSINESS

Client: The Vault | Volumetric Building Companies
Project Timeline: 2019

Services Provided: Visual Identity + Naming + Website

The Challenge

Vaughan Buckley purchased the Roxborough Trust Building located at the intersection of Green Lane and Ridge Avenue, Roxborough, PA. The vision for this historic landmark is to become the leading co-working space for the AEC Industry (architects, engineering and construction) in our great city.

In addition providing a co-working space for like minded firms and individuals, the intention was for Vaughan Buckley Construction to also make The Vault, its permanent home, with value-add amenities throughout the facility, including a rooftop terrace, a coffee shop and a “speakeasy” bar in the basement.

The Moving Company was hired to create the visual identity for The Vault, while providing the naming scheme and all brand standards for the project.

The Process

Our goal was to make small businesses and entrepreneurs aware of the premium, semi-private office space and networking opportunities that will be coming available at a value not found in other co-working environments. We wanted to foreshadow a space that can be a business and social catalyst for the rejuvenation of a neighborhood that needs to be reminded of “what it can and should be.”

Our work began with the development of a Brand Position Document. This document summarizes the personality behind Vault, defining a positioning statement and tone words. These descriptions will inform the decisions that are made when anything is created for the brand. The Brand Position Document will inform the creation of a logo, recruitment materials (bus shelter, digital ads, signage, etc) and informational website.

Problem Solved

The Moving Company Creative Team delivered. The visual brand that was established supported Vaughan’s vision for his space, and a space for the community. Over a working period of three months, our team collaborated with stakeholders at VBC to deliver a full logo kit, website wireframes, an initial membership ad campaign for social media and all the assets required for the team at The Vault to get off and running with their marketing campaigns.

It’s been a joy to see the project come to life. The photos to the right are from Vaughan Buckley Construction, and show the space as it looks today, complete.
